The Restaurant
Restaurant with a view
The light streams into the restaurant with its panorama windows from floor to ceiling affording a splendid view across the sound. The blue sea and the green lawns provide an attractive contrast to the white Piet Hein tables and the classic Arne Jacobsen chairs in the restaurant. Each morning we welcome our guests to a new day with our expansive breakfast buffet and a tempting selection of delicious rolls and bread, smoothies, pancakes, sausages, eggs, sliced meats and chesses, and much more.
Our lunch buffet offers a delicious selection of exotic dishes, Danish classics, hot and cold, salty or sweet, mild and strong. There is something for every taste and all of our delicacies are created in our own kitchen.
Every evening the kitchen conjures up a two- or three-course meal made from the best seasonal ingredients. In the summer with its long, warm evenings, we often move outside for a barbecue where our guests put together their own menu at the large charcoal barbecue grill. And if you are looking for a party, then let’s party! When we put on our party hats, the modern and bright restaurant with its clean lines is transformed into an exclusive and exciting setting for weddings, birthday celebrations, and celebratory dinners rounding off a successful seminar or conference. Our kitchen loves a challenge and we consider it an honour to create each menu according to the special wishes and needs of our guests.
Culinary delights
The philosophy behind the Rungstedgaard cuisine held by our master chef, Tim Rosenvinge, and his dynamic team of creative chefs is very simple: Flavour is everything and only the very best seasonal ingredients are good enough. Everything is prepared using original, fresh ingredients and the kitchen has developed a long line of exciting delicacies that have become classics among our regular diners. For example, fresh-churned yoghurts with fresh-roasted muesli at the breakfast buffet, novel chicken salad at the lunch buffet, or the tempting, ice-cold rhubarb soup for dessert.
